I’m a little late to this party but Demon Slayer Swordsmith Village Arc is out and boy was it a doozy of a story.
For those of you who follow the manga there would be no surprise for you but as someone who does not… I had some mixed feels about this one.
IF before reading this you have never heard of Demon Slayer – I recommend you watch or read the manga first (which you can borrow from our libraries).
It is about a young boy (Tanjiro Kamado) who becomes a demon slayer after his family meets their demise from a demon and his younger sister Nezuko is turned into a demon. We then follow them on a quest to turn Nezuko human again.
I will always recommend watching Demon Slayer if you are looking for a new anime.
NOTE: S P O I L E R S A H E A D!
Number one dislike about this season was… where was Zenitsu and Inosuke?! Neither of them were barely seen at all this season which while I know the whinings of Zenitsu would not be missed much by some. It just isn’t the same without the trio working together to slay demons.
Number two dislike was how long it took for the love hashira to arrive to the scene to help out Tanjiro and Genya. She was great but wished a few more of her skills were shown.
What I loved was learning about the backstory of each hashira has been great, definitely moving and made me emotional (although, I am a cry-baby).
And the last scene of the season with Nezuko… I was on the edge of my seat with the outcome and with Muzan knowing her new skill of being able to walk during daylight, there is definitely one big battle coming up!
It was also nice to see the secret swordsmith village and learn a bit more about the swordmakers that make each sword for hashira’s and demon slayers. Mr Haganezuka’s face reveal may be unexpected for some!
Despite, the absence of Zenitsu and Inosuke; I always fall for the storyline, battle scenes and the characters.
What did you think of the Swordsmith Village Arc?
