Join ‘Little Green Steps WA’ to learn all about the wonderful creatures that live in our soil and compost, using magnifying glasses and microscopic lenses to see them in greater detail. Meg McKinlay poetry workshop

In this fun activity led by children’s author and poet Meg McKinlay, you’ll craft short, one-of-a-kind poems using words and phrases cut out from magazines and old books. Mix and match different styles, fonts, and colours to bring your poem to life in a whole new way. Let’s turn ordinary words into extraordinary art! Bookings required – ages 6-12

Nesting Native Birds

‘Little Green Steps WA’ will bring a range of native local bird nests to the library for you to see up close. Using natural materials and clay, you can create your own Mudlark style bird nests. Feel free to collect some leaves, twigs, and bark to bring along (optional) Bookings required – ages 3-8
